CBM Program Selection
This course covers the selection and justifucation of which type of condition monitoring program(s) to apply and which resources to use: in-house, fully contracted, or a hybrid between the two.
The course starts with defining what Condition-base Maintenance is and how to apply this strategy. It works through a review of the condition monitoring technologies; Infrared Imaging, Oil Analysis, Vibration Analysis, Ultrasonics, and Motor Circuit Signature Analysis. Then it defines the decision points required to make the right choice of which technologies fits your needs and how much/how often to apply each. It reviews the decision point and program aspect required to choose between staffing a PdM program with in-house resources, outsourced resources, or a hybrid program utilizing both in-house and outsourced resources.
Finally, the course will review the cost and projected benefits for each technology and the entire integrated program.
