Proactive Maintenance Management
This short course starts with the evolution of maintenance and condition monitoring fundamentals. It then moves to program economics followed by discussions on Pareto, RCM, and RCFA. It finishes by covering work control, change of design control, and spare parts optimization.
Prerequisites
Recommend Min 5 Years Plant Experience.
Course Length
Minimum 8 Hours. Four 25 hour sessions, 2 times a week for 2 weeks.
Certification Exam
25 Questions, 1 hour time limit, Open Book.
Course Objectives
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Understand the current maintenance practices available, including a thorough understanding of the condition monitoring technologies
- Estimate the costs associated with implementing such programs, as well as expected savings
- Understand how spare parts selection, work control, and design change control can improve plant reliability
- Understand the basics of RCM and RCFA, and how to apply them in the plant
- Have a familiarity with the fundamentals, including terminology, of vibration signature analysis
