Time Domain Vibration Analysis
Expand your vibration analysis "toolbox" by adding time domain analysis to it. Find problems that just cannot be seen with any other signal processing method.
The course starts with discussing the applications, limitations, and theoretical foundations of time domain analysis. Then specific hardware and software settings are reviewed. Finally the course finishes with analysis techniques for general faults (e.g. misalignment, unbalance, looseness, etc.) as well as machine component faults (e.g. bearing defects, gear failures, electrical faults, etc.)
Prerequisites
Recommend Intermediate Applied Vibration Analysis or Equivalent ISO Cat II.
Course Length
Minimum 8 Hours. Four 2 hour sessions, 2 times a week for 2 weeks.
Certification Exam
25 Questions, 1 hour time limit, Open Book.
Course Objectives
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:
- Specify collection specifications for signal processing
- Learn the applications and capabilities of waveform analysis
- Understand its limitations
- Apply the analysis techniques to several case studies
