Pioneer to exhibit at Turbomachinery Symposium

August 22, 2006

 

Pioneer Engineering will be attending the 35th Turbomachinery Symposium September 25-28, 2006 in Houston, Texas. The display will be located at Booth #118 and the staff will be demonstrating Pioneer's new remote monitoring service.

Advanced Vibration Analysis Seminar rescheduled

July 17, 2006

 

The Advanced Vibration Analysis Seminar will now be held from September 18 - 22, 2006 in Fort Collins, CO. Registration is open as seats are still available.

Pioneer Engineering has hired another Engineer

Joel Lentz

Joel started with Pioneer Engineering the middle of April. He was hired as a reliability engineer and to assist with remote monitoring, and vibration analysis. His previous experience with BP America will help him be successful in his new role at Pioneer. Joel received both his bachelors and masters in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.

Pump Performance Measurment

Pioneer Engineering now has an ultrasonic transit time flow meter to assist in pump performance measurements. Flow measurements in conjunction with vibration analysis provide a great means for assessing pump conditions. Contact us for information on how we can improve your system performance.

News: Seth Gregg joins Pioneer Engineering

Seth Gregg joined Pioneer Engineering in the beginning of June and will be leading the mechanical design part of the company. His previous experience with the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source, Seagate Technologies and Los Alamos National Labs will help him to succeed at this position. In addition to mechanical design efforts he will be involved with vibration analysis and other reliability engineering jobs. View his resume here.

News: Pioneer Engineering Hires New Engineer

Chad Wilcox

In May Chad Wilcox, a recent graduate of Colorado State University, joined the Pioneer Engineering team. Chad's B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from CSU and his experience as an engineering intern at Seagate Inc. (maker of computer hard disk drives) will allow him to hit the ground running at Pioneer Engineering. In the fall of 2004 Chad will be starting his masters in Mechanical Engineering at CSU and working half-time for the company.

Chad will be focusing most of his efforts on the condition monitoring portion of Pioneer Engineering's services. This includes developing a new service offering, remote condition monitoring vibration data analysis. Check back for more on this new service. Read more about Chad here.

Upcoming Course: Advanced

Pioneer Engineering will be offering its Applied Vibration Analysis: Advanced course in February in Fort Collins, CO. Students who successfully complete this course will be able to compute statistical alarms, interpret Lissajous Orbits, and apply advanced FFT techniques (i.e. Synchronous Time Averaging, Order Tracking and Demodulation) and phase analysis on a variety of machine assemblies. Level III certification from the Vibration Institute is also available upon successful completion of the course.

Pioneer has a new engineer starting in June

It has been an extensive process finding just the right person to help Pioneer grow. We are excited to announce that we have a new engineer starting in June. Nick Stites will finish his MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University in May. Following graduation he will be moving back to Colorado to continue his career with Pioneer.

Introduction to Applied Vibration Course

Seth Gregg will be teaching an Introduction course in Baton Rouge, LA. July 31st - Aug. 3rd. Students who attend the training will be able to calculate vibration frequency from time domain data. Convert vibration units of measure & signal detection. Read & interpret basic FFT spectra. Recognize various vibration sensors, mounting methods and instrumentation. Compare overall or single value vibration measurements against pre established alert settings. Perform basic FFT signature analysis. There will be an ISO level I Cert. test given to those students who would like to be certified with the Vibration Institute. Contact us for more details on how to register.
